The team behind Australia’s favourite popcorn brand, Cobs Popcorn, engaged Esencia Communications to manage their social media, PR, Sponsorships, Event Activations, and Advertising in 2014.
As well as helping taste-test their delicious popcorn, we successfully managed Cobs’ sponsorship of the Melbourne International Film Festival for three consecutive years, including a comprehensive roving sellers program throughout the Festival with the ‘Cobs Squad’, and getting popcorn into the hands (and tummies) of Pia Miranda, Rachel Griffiths, and Geoffrey Rush.
We managed Cobs’ presence at the Melbourne Bloggers Brunch, which was attended by over eighty parenting and lifestyle bloggers. Cobs was looking for a way to differentiate themselves from the dozen other brands at the event, so we developed a collaboration with king of desserts, pâtissier Adriano Zumbo.
Adriano created two popcorn inspired desserts and appeared at the event as a VIP guest of Cobs. His appearance at the event sparked strong media interest, with Channel 9 news reporting on the collaboration, and over 50 of the bloggers providing social media coverage.
